is a visual communication designer with an experience in packaging design, corporative and product identity design, motion graphics and video production, product design, social media content design, and design of other printed and digital graphic products (ads, TV commercials, poster, billboards, flyers, ect.).
Ivan Goran Žunar is a multiple awarded designer, with references such as Design Plus Award for the best prototype of Ambienta 44th International Furniture, Interior Decoration and Supporting Industry Fair 2017, award for the best design of Design Department of ULUPUDS, and 3rd prize on Conference People, Wood and Furniture in Banja Luka 2017 for SecretArea contemporary secretaire interpretation design, Award of Croatian Design Exhibition 1516 in Museum of Arts and Crafts in Zagreb in category of Complete project / product 2016 for Baggizmo project (as a team member of Design Bureau Izvorka Jurić), CROPAK acknowledgment for the packaging of the first selection 2013 and 3rd prize for best photography on International Conference on Printing and Graphic communications Blaž Baromić in Senj 2014.
He regularly participates on design exhibitions and festivals such as Design Week Zagreb, Mikser festival in Belgrade, in Croatian Designers Society, Biennale of Young Croatian Photography in Gallery of Arts in Zadar (2011.), PDP convention in Novi Sad (2011.), photography exhibition on Faculty of Graphic Arts in Zagreb (2014) and he also realized one individual multimedia exhibition Taken Out Of Context 2016 in his hometown Ivanec.
His projects are published on domestic and international websites for design, photography and visual art, he has lectured two times by invitation of Faculty of Graphic Arts in Zagreb and has participated in international panel discussion Practicing Design in Zagreb 2017.
He started his professional development on Faculty of Graphic Arts in Zagreb (course of Graphic Product Design) where he won Dean’s Award and graduated with Cum laude degree, he spent a semester on Universidad Complutense de Madrid, Facultad de Bellas Artes on Erasmus LLP exchange, and after graduation, he worked in Design Bureau Izvorka Jurić and Akterpublic advertising agency. He was also working on independent projects of Croatian Designers Society and association Metamedij in Pula. He is a member of Croatian Designers Society, Croatian Society of Independent Professionals and Croatian Society of Graphic Arts.
He is creative and devoted on every project he does, self-critical, with analytical, research and interdisciplinary approach, and he cooperates well with all subjects in workflow.
